Command Chief Warrant Officer


 

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Jeremy M. Sager assumed responsibility as the Command Chief Warrant Officer for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) on Nov. 20, 2023. 

CW5 Sager most recently served as the TRADOC G-3/5/7 Senior Warrant Officer Advisor where he was responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating policy and strategies for training, education, and leader development of the Warrant Officer Cohort, spanning all components.

CW5 Sager is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He initially enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserve in 1992, as an Infantryman. In 1994, Mr. Sager transitioned into the Regular Army, where he served in variety of assignments as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and later as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst.

As an enlisted analyst, CW5 Sager served at echelons Division and above, as a Section Sergeant within the XVIII Airborne Corps ACE; Division G2 Fusion NCOIC at MND-North, OPERATION JOINT FORGE, Bosnia-Herzegovina; and as a Theater Watch NCO at the USEUCOM Joint Analysis Center, RAF Molesworth, United Kingdom. During this time, he also forward deployed to Ankara, Turkey to serve as the USEUCOM Liaison to the Turkish General Staff J2 where he led intelligence sharing efforts and bolstered relations with NATO partners.

CW5 Sager completed Warrant Officer Candidate School in 2005 and was certified as an All-Source Intelligence Technician. His early Warrant Officer assignments included service within the 101st Airborne Division, on Brigade and Division Staff, and several assignments throughout the Special Operations community. During this time, CW5 Sager participated in multiple overseas contingency operations in support of named operations including IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, SPARTAN SHIELD, and INHERENT RESOLVE.

In 2018, CW5 Sager was selected to participate in the USAICOE-CERDEC Professional Development Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. As a visiting fellow, he gained a working knowledge of Army and DoD acquisition processes and provided operational context and user feedback to material developers supporting priority modernization efforts. His utilization tour was at the Intelligence Capability Development and Integration Directorate, Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, as an Experimentation Staff Officer, and Capabilities Branch Chief, leading the integration of emerging intelligence capabilities into Joint Warfighting Assessments and Project Convergence.

CW5 Sager holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Excelsior College. His military education includes all levels of Warrant Officer education, How the Army Runs Course, Army Manpower & Force Management Course, Army Capability Development Course, the Common Faculty Development-Training Developers Course, and the Digital Intelligence Systems Master Gunner Course.

CW5 Sager’s awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (6OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Gold Award).  Mr. Sager is also a recipient of the LTC Thomas Knowlton Award for Intelligence Excellence and a distinguished member of the 502d Infantry Regiment.

CW5 Sager is an avid community servant and motorcyclist. He has two adult children.
